Anna Haotanto is the CEO of The New Savvy and Director at Tera Capital, a private investment firm. Anna is the President of the Singapore Management University Women Alumni. She is part of the founding committee of the Singapore FinTech Association and heads the Women In Tech committee. Anna has been featured in CNBC, Forbes, The Straits Times, Business Insider, The Peak Magazine, INC, The New Paper, Asian Entrepreneur and Singapore Management University. She was nominated and selected for FORTUNE Most Powerful Women conference in 2016 (Asia) and 2015 (San Francisco, Next Gen).
She is passionate about finance, education, women empowerment, and children’s issues. Anna conducts workshops on personal finance and had given talks on finance, women issues and empowerment for organisations – Singapore Exchange (SGX), ShareInvestor REITs Symposium, Citi-SMU Financial Literacy Symposium, Female Entrepreneurs Worldwide (FEW), SG50 Singapore Female Leaders, Singapore Women Network, etc.
She regularly teaches and mentors children and adults on financial prudence and investments, facilitating their ability to be better informed when making financial decisions. Anna is involved in various charities supporting women and children causes. She was one of the main donors in the building of a library for underprivileged female students.
Anna has 10 years of experience in the financial sector including wealth management, private equity, research as well as corporate and investment banking. Her previous work experience includes positions at Citigroup, United Overseas Bank, a regional role in Business Monitor and a boutique private equity firm based in Shanghai. Anna has single-handedly raised a mid-six figure funding for The New Savvy within 2 years of operation.
Anna is proficient in managing assets and providing advice to high net worth clients. Among the numerous awards Anna had received, she was the Top Offshore Senior Client Advisor for 2 years running, within just 3 years of entering the industry. Anna provides wealth management consultancy to select high net worth clients.
Anna was awarded Top Student (Salutatorian) for UOB-SMU Private Banking course. She spearheaded and founded the Women Alumni group for Singapore Management University. She graduated from Singapore Management University (Finance and Quantitative Finance), Hwa Chong Junior College. She held leadership roles – she was the founding member and Vice-President of the Quantitive Finance club, the Soccer Captain and the Vice-President of the Dance Society.
Anna earned her financial independence at age 28. However, she seeks meaning in focusing her entrepreneurial career on financial literacy as she firmly believes that continuous learning empowers people.
