Kevin Smith is the founder, CEO, and CIO of Crescat Capital. Crescat Global Macro Fund is up +347.0% since its establishment in January 2006, beating S&P500 index more than 2.7 times. Kevin has 24 years of investment industry experience, including the last 17 years as a discretionary portfolio manager. He has been the portfolio manager of Crescat’s three investment strategies since their inception. Kevin is the architect of Crescat’s systematic, fundamental equity valuation model. Crescat Global Macro Fund trades and invests in equities as well as exchange-traded funds and related options. Prior to Crescat, he worked as a financial advisor with Kidder Peabody and PaineWebber. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business with a specialization in finance and a concentration in statistics. He earned an undergraduate degree in economics from Stanford University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of MENSA.
