1.1. These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) apply between Etalon Conference OÜ, a company registered under the laws of Estonia with registry code 12868933, address Tartu mnt 84a-162, 10112 Tallinn, Estonia, (hereinafter “Etalon”) and any person who purchases or registers, or for whom a third person purchases or registers, (the “Attendee”) a ticket for any event or conference organised by Etalon (the “Event”).

1.2. By purchasing a ticket or registering for an Event the Attendee agrees to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If the ticket is purchased or registered for an Attendee by a third person, this third person confirms upon registering or purchasing the ticket that he or she is authorized to represent the Attendee in entering into this agreement with Etalon. In any case, the Attendee is considered to be bound by the Terms upon receipt and acceptance of the ticket.

1.3. Etalon reserves the right to make changes to these Terms at any time. The most current version of the Terms is always made available on Etalon’s website.


2.1. Purchasing or registering the tickets. Tickets can be purchased or registered on the webpage of Etalon. Purchased tickets are delivered in electronic soft-copy format to the email address designated by the purchaser.

2.2. CONSENT TO PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA AND ACCEPTANCE OF PRIVACY POLICY. By purchasing or registering a ticket the Attendee consents to the processing of his or her personal data in accordance with Etalon’s Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is available on the website of Etalon and/or the specific Event.

2.3. Effect of a ticket. The ticket acts as a receipt for the transaction and can be used to redeem entry at the Event listed on the ticket.

The ticket of the Event remains the legal property of Etalon. Provided that the registration fees have been duly covered, the ticket is considered as giving the Attendee a personal revocable license to attend the relevant Event.

A printed hard-copy ticket is considered equivalent to an electronic soft-copy ticket for redeeming entry to an Event.

2.4. Non-transferability of tickets. The ticket is for the personal use of the Attendee who has purchased or registered the ticket or who has been designated upon its purchase or registration as the attendee. The ticket may not be re-sold or transferred to third persons under any circumstances, either for commercial gain or not.

2.5. Replacement of the Attendee. The license granted with the ticket can be transferred to a third party only by effecting a replacement of the Attendee with Etalon. Such replacements are free of charge up to 90 days prior to the commencement of the Event. After this time the following administrative charges apply:
– 90-30 days before the commencement of the Event – $50;
– 30-7 days before the commencement of the Event – $100.

2.6. Withdrawal of tickets. The license granted with the ticket may be withdrawn by Etalon and admission refused at any time upon a refund of the paid registration fees. In particular, Etalon reserves the right to cancel the ticket with immediate effect, if:
– the ticket has been subject to a re-sale or attempted re-sale;
– the Attendee or any person (e.g. a company or organization) connected to the attendee is hosting or attempting to host any event in conjunction with, contiguous to or purporting to be related to the Event without the express prior permission and co-operation of Etalon;
– the ticket has been purchased or registered by a person, company or organization who appears to be associated with a ticket broker or other person who is acting as an intermediary for financial gain.

2.7. Loss of a ticket. Etalon is not responsible for any tickets that are lost or stolen.

2.8. Refund. Purchases of tickets are non-refundable. No refund of the paid price is possible, unless expressly specified in these Terms. In the event of cancellation of an Event the liability of Etalon is limited to the share of the paid registration fees that remains after credit card and payment processing fees have been incurred and deducted.

2.9. In the event that the ticket is purchased by a consumer within the meaning of the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, the consumer is entitled to withdraw from the contract concluded from a distance or off-premises without giving any reasons. In that case the price paid for the ticket will be refunded.


3.1. Travel and housing arrangements. The ticket does not include accommodation or transport to and from the Event. Etalon does not make transport or accommodation arrangements for the Attendee nor reimburse the respective expenses. All transport and accommodation arrangements are on the responsibility and cost of the Attendee.

3.2. Visas. Etalon is not responsible for the granting of any visas that are required to attend the Event. Failure to receive a visa does not constitute a basis for any refund of registration fees.


4.1. Recording at the Event. By attending the Event the Attendee consents to the following:
– film and sound recordings may be made at the Event, and they may also feature the Attendee. The Attendee consents to all uses of such recordings.
– the Attendee will refrain from unauthorized use of photographic and recording equipment at the Event as such use is prohibited.

4.2. Refusal of admission. Etalon reserves the right to refuse admission of an Attendee to the Event for any behavior which it deems unacceptable or in breach of the Terms.

4.3. Changes in Event schedule. Etalon reserves the right to make cancellations, substitutions and alterations in the speakers, topics and schedule of the Event when necessary. All changes are announced on the webpage of Etalon and/or the Event. Such changes do not constitute a breach of contract by Etalon and do not trigger any liability.


5.1. Limitation of liability. Etalon and its partners will not be liable for:
5.1.1. cancellation, substitution or rescheduling of an Event which occurs due to a fortuitous event, force majeure, or any other circumstance which renders the holding of the Event illegal, impossible or materially impracticable, and which was not foreseeable to Etalon at the time of planning, announcing and opening registration for the Event;
5.1.2. any loss, injury or damage to any person or property howsoever caused at or in connection with the Event, save for the type of liability that cannot by be excluded or limited under the applicable law;
5.1.3. inaccuracy or incompleteness of information on the website of Etalon or the Event.

5.2. Cancellation or rescheduling of an Event. In the event of cancellation, substitution or rescheduling of an Event the liability of Etalon is limited to the share of the paid registration fees that remains after credit card and payment processing fees have been incurred and deducted. Besides a refund of registration fees, Etalon is not responsible for any loss or damage to or expenses incurred by the Attendee.

5.3. The website of Etalon and the Event are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis for the personal use of the Attendees without any representations by Etalon. Unless specified in separate terms and conditions relating to a particular product or service, Etalon does not make any warranties, whether express or implied, in relation to the websites, or products or services offered on the websites whether by Etalon, its partners, or on behalf of Etalon. Etalon cannot guarantee and shall not be responsible for the security or privacy of the websites and any information on the websites.

5.4. Liability of the Attendee. The Attendee is fully responsible for all damages, losses, costs and expenses, including legal fees, suffered by Etalon as a result of any breach of these Terms by the Attendee.


6.1. All copyright, trademarks and other intellectual property rights connected to the Event or Etalon, including the content and all other material in the websites of Etalon or the Event, belong to and remain with Etalon or its licencors.


7.1. These Terms are construed in accordance with and governed by Estonian laws.

7.2. Any dispute, controversy or claim arising under these Terms or in connection with an Event or purchase or registration of a ticket is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Estonian courts with Harju County Court being the court of first instance.


8.1. Etalon is entitled to delegate performance of its obligations under these Terms or in connection with an Event to third parties.

8.2. With the exception of individual agreements between the parties, no other terms and conditions besides these Terms shall apply to the relationship between Etalon and the Attendee in connection with an Event or purchase or registration of a ticket. These Terms contain the entire agreement and understanding between the parties in respect of all matters which are referred to herein and supersede any prior, written or oral agreement relating to such matters.

8.3. If any part of the Terms turns out to be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed to be severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any of the remaining provisions of the Terms.

This present version of the Terms is in force and applicable from the 1 August 2016.
